I went to NYC for a week, and in a blink of an eye it was already over ! That city has a crazy energy :)

NYC Speakeasy Madness

Speakeasies are a really trendy thing in the city !!! We had the occasion to visit 2 places of that kind and it was a really fun & interesting experience :)

A New York, les bars ou restaurants style clandestins sont en pleins boom, enfin c'est très à la mode d'y aller !!! Pendant notre séjour nous avons eu l'occasion d'en visiter 2, et c'était une expérience intéressante :)

THE Birthday Surprise - Niagara !!!!

Birthday surprise day #2 started with the most welcome warm bath ever :) You know that moment when you simply are happy, even if you don't know what your day is going to be like, you know that it is going to be a good one, that was how I felt !

Le jour #2 de ma surprise d'anniversaire a commencé par bon bain bien chaud :) C'était un de ces moments ou j'étais juste contente, je n'avais pas vraiment d'idées quant à ce qu'on allait faire, mais je savais que ça serait forcément sympathique ! 

THE Birthday Surprise - Toronto !!!

It all started on the 27th of January with a little message "Pack your bags." Continued with another one "Lobster." Ended with that mysterious "1pm." They were all from my GodMother. I was feeling very excited, and it was just the beginning ... 

Tout a commencé le 27 janvier avec ce message "Prépare ton sac de voyage". Ça a continué avec "Le homard". Et ça s'est terminé par un mystérieux "13 heures." (Pas celui de JPP hein ! ). Ils venaient tous de ma Marraine. J'étais très/trop curieuse, et bien sûr, ce n'était que le début ...

The other day, while Claire & I were wandering around campus we got asked one question : "What's your favorite thing about Queen's ?" Of course we had to answer !!!

L'autre jour, Claire & moi faisions un petit tour du campus quand on nous a posé une question : "Quelle est ta chose préférée à Queen's ?" Nous nous devions d'y répondre !!!

Canadian Skin Routine

As you already know, Canada is a very COLD country ! And such temperatures can be really damaging for soft and sensitive skins ... like mine !? After nearly a month here I have found a Canadian winter beauty routine that suits me quite well :)

Comme vous le savez déjà, le Canada est un pays très FROID ! Et de telles températures sont un vrai calvaire pour les peaux sensibles ... comme la mienne !? Après presque un mois ici, j'ai enfin trouvé une rituel beauté adapté à l'hiver Canadien qui me convient :)

BYOB is a typical North American thing. Nothing can beat it in term of Canadian Student Life Experience! 

BYOB est quelque chose de typiquement Nord Américain. C'est un des must de l'expérience étudiante Canadienne!

Nail Drama

One of the things I enjoy the most is having my nails done - it's been for quite a few months now that I do Shellac and I am usually really happy with the final result because they are perfectly trimmed & polished for weeks BUT it seems that Canadians people don't do it the same way ... 

Une des choses qui me plait le plus, c'est d'aller me faire faire les ongles, ça fait déjà plusieurs mois que je fais régulièrement du "Shellac"et je suis toujours très contente du résultat car les ongles restent parfaits et brillants pendant plusieurs semaines MAIS au Canada, ils ne font pas vraiment ça de la même manière ...

Right now, it seems impossible to go back to the kinda healthy diet I was on back home: the food is so different and sooooo expensive...

En ce moment, il me semble impossible de retourner au modèle alimentaire assez sain que j'avais établi en France: la nourriture est si différente et tellement chère...

Beating the COLD (with Style?)

Minus 30°C, Minus 22°F.

That's what I had to deal with for about 10 days. Now it is get slightly better, well the temperature is still around -13°C but it really feels "warmer" out there.
